Welcome back, everyone. Did you have a good weekend? We attended variety 1 from 4 graduations this past weekend. During the Ride to Kansas and even on our way back, I was certainly dreaming of this frozen drink I’d made just a few hours before. Friday’s recipe motivated me so much that I couldn’t let the caramel-chocolate-pretzel combo move. I was having a lot of fun playing around with a number of my favourite flavours when it comes to all things sweet.
And to be Honest, a pub of blondies tastes that much better when followed by a frozen hot chocolate drink. That is right. This hot chocolate is a mixture of all three. Which essentially means it can’t be anything but incredibly delicious.
All you Need is ice, milk (any kind you prefer), hot chocolate mixture and salted caramel sauce. You simply combine all of the ingredients on your mixer and mix it up until smooth. I garnished mine using freshly whipped cream and broken chocolate covered pretzel pieces. An additional drizzle of caramel doesn’t hurt either.
You can also make this marginally beforehand. Somewhat meaning about an hour. You don’t want it to freeze too much. When you combine it up, you pretty much want to serve it right away or put or place the ready ginger in the freezer, so that it still has the perfect consistency and won’t melt before you get to enjoy it.
I visit many so glad I found this completely refreshing and gratifying drink before it actually starts to heat up outside. Do not think I could be any more enthusiastic for hot summer days, however I stand happily corrected.
- 3 cups ice
- 2 cups milk (some milk will probably work just fine)
- 3 (.75 ounce) packets hot cocoa mix
- 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce, more for drizzling
- Whipped cream
- In to your blender and blend until smooth. Pour mixture into glasses and top Drizzle with additional salted caramel sauce and garnish with desired amount of chocolate covered pretzels (I broke mine into pieces). Serve immediately.
